West of Santiago, on the road to Valparaíso, is the Casablanca Valley.  A cool coastal climate makes this wine-growing region ideal for white wine.  Accordingly, the Casablanca Valley is known for its premium Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc wines, and recently the valley has started producing the first Pinot Noirs of Chile.  Wine production began in this region in the 1980s and as a result the wine facilities here have a very modern feel, and most have a gourmet restaurant pairing their signature wines with traditional Chilean cuisine.  The best way to experience the Casablanca Valley is to combine a vineyard tour with a tour of Vina del Mar, Valparaiso and the Pacific coast.  If you are interested in focusing on the wine, our tours of the valley include two vineyard visits with tastings as well as lunch in one of the vineyards.  The price depends on the day of the week, the number of people and which vineyards we visit.  Please contact us for a price quote.
