Your guide will pick you from the hotel between 8am and 10am, depending on your own alarm clock.  Just west of Santiago along the Pacific coast, there are four cities, each with their own charm and attractions.  We’ll follow the coastal road from the UNESCO world heritage site of Valparaiso with its charming maze-like streets, lined with mansions from the glory days; through the upper class beaches of Vina del Mar, bordered by contemporary condo buildings.  We’ll finish in the smaller beach towns to the north, where you can see impressive sand dunes towering over the sea as well as sea lions basking in the sun.  Between Santiago and the coast is the Casablanca Valley, home of the best white wines and Pinot Noirs to come out of Chile.  We can have a delicious seafood lunch on the coast and a wine tour and tasting in Casablanca, or have a gourmet lunch and wine tasting at the very vineyard that discovered this valley.  We’ll get back to Santiago in the early evening.
